Shirdi is a small town located in the Indian state of Maharashtra and is a popular pilgrimage destination for devotees of the saint Sai Baba. There are various modes of transport and routes to reach Shirdi, as described below:

1. By Air: The nearest airport to Shirdi is Shirdi International airport which is around 15 km away, while Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik, and pune airport are also in the region of 100kms from Shirdi. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Shirdi.

One can also take permission from Shri Sai Sansthan Temple in order to land their helicopter on the helipad managed by them

2. By Train: The nearest railway station to Shirdi is the Sainagar Shirdi Railway Station, which is well-connected to major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore. You can take a train to the Sainagar Shirdi Railway Station and then hire a taxi or take a bus to reach your destination. Other major railway Stations around Shirdi are Belapur, Shrirampur, Kopergaon, Manmad, Nagarsul, Andarsul.

3. By Road: Shirdi is well-connected to major cities in Maharashtra and neighboring states by road. Shirdi is also close to Nagpur Mumbai Samrudhi Mahmarg. You can take a bus or hire a taxi to reach Shirdi. The town is located on the Mumbai-Aurangabad highway, and you can take this route if you're coming from Mumbai.

4. Mumbai to Shirdi: The distance between Mumbai and Shirdi is around 240 km, and you can take a bus or hire a taxi to reach Shirdi from Mumbai. The most popular route is the Mumbai-Nashik-Shirdi route, which takes around 5-6 hours by road.

5. Pune to Shirdi: The distance between Pune and Shirdi is around 185 km, and you can take a bus or hire a taxi to reach Shirdi from Pune. The most popular route is the Pune-Ahmednagar-Shirdi route, which takes around 4-5 hours by road.

8. Maharashtra State Transport buses are available from major cities like Nashik, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Pune, Manmad and Kopargaon to Shirdi. Private air-conditioned buses also available from various cities of Maharashtra, Telangana, Gujrat, Andhra-Pradesh to Shirdi. 

9. You can also drive your own car or hire a car to reach Shirdi. The road condition is good and there are toll booths on the way. The driving time depends on the traffic and the route you take.
